The weather is looking like it could be chilly, with possible frost in some areas on Monday morning.  Don’t panic though, you can cover your tender plants with a sheet or blanket to protect them from damage.  We have already done this with our seedlings that are outside when we got our last frost.  We use a row cover cloth, also known as remay And it worked perfectly to protect our seedlings.

In case you didn’t know, many of our seedlings will survive a frost just fine, like peas, parsley, lettuce, beets, chard, broccoli, kale and the other plants in the cabbage family. The tender plants include tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, basil, cucumbers, melons and squash. Ask the farmer if you have any questions about what needs to be protected.
