We got 5″ of fresh lake effect snow on a morning that feels like early January, not early April. The snow is not necessarily a bad thing but cool weather slows plant germination. The bigger issue is the gray days that we’ve been seeing. Without sun, our plants don’t photosynthesize – and grow. For the most part our plants are looking good, but they’re not getting very big, very fast. What a noticable difference an afterrnoon of sunshine makes!
